 Minecraft is a video game that was made in November of 2011. We play Minecraft survival mode on our Xbox, and we LOVE it. Okay, we'll confess. We play it terribly, and die every time we play. But that's not the reason we play it. We play it so see the animals.   We all have heard a fable or two. How the leopard got its spots. How the tiger got its stripes. So, we decided to make a fable of our own: How the Porcupine Got its Quills.    A long time ago, many animals roamed the Earth free. Everyone lived in harmony, and everyone got along. One day, the wolves got sick of the routine.    "We need adventure!" one growled. The other wolves howled in agreement. Later that night, all the wolves raided the animal's homes, and some even ate some small creatures! The wolves returned home with full stomachs.    This became a routine that the wolves did every night. And all the animals, especially the small ones, were sick of it.    "We gotta do something!" yelled a small gopher.      "Let's show those wolves that they're messing with the wrong guys," added a prairie dog.     As potter-heads, we love nifflers. If you don't don't know what that is, it's basically a platypus, with a long little nose and webbed feet. Everybody thought that they weren't real, until Buzzfeed posted an article. (Link to article down below) The article read about a type of echidna, which is another monotreme. The type is called a puggle, which we guess is a baby echidna. But, the puggle looks JUST LIKE A NIFFLER. Theoretically, the author of the Harry Potter series J. K. Rowling based her creature on these lovable floofs. In fact, the resemblance of a niffler and a puggle is almost identical. What if J. K.   You've probably heard someone yell, 'OPEN SESAME!' before. Yes, it is quite fun to yell, especially when your pretending that it's the password to get into some secret base. But, the original phrase was not open sesame.  The phrase 'open sesame' came from the story Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves . The thieves had a sesame plant in their little hideout, and that would pretty much be their password. The author of this story made this phrase up as a joke, but people started using it more and more, and it eventually replaced the original. So what what was the original phrase?  The phrase is actually 'open, says me' but nobody really used it like that. Sesame is also a magic spell, and we guess people just liked to say 'open sesame' because it sounded like you where casting a spell to open a door. Who knows? Maybe one day, people will go back to saying 'open says me.' But we gotta admit, 'open sesame' sounds a lot more fun for us Pot...
