“Thanks guys,” I said quietly. Thomas smiled.

“You know why Professor Finnigan is so rude?” asked Jena. “It’s because when he attended Hogwarts as a kid, he always humiliated himself.”

“How?” I asked.

“Well, he didn’t get the correct wand. Thank goodness we all have ours, or we would end up like him! Anyway, each time he tried to cast a spell, his wand would explode something in his face. That made people laugh, which made him angry, sad, and embarrassed. Now he wants to make everyone take a walk in his shoes. I guess you were his first chosen victim. Sorry about that.” Jena said.
